Watermelon Story

Long time ago, I read a story once stating its like asking someone to pick the biggest watermelon in a big field with the condition that you must throw away the current one first. How would you know the one you pick is the biggest? Another might come along and be bigger than the current one. You might keep searching then but what if the one that you just discarded was the biggest one you might ever find.
